- Mainstreaming Heritage: To rejuvenate and mainstream Indian
Knowledge Systems for the contemporary world, ensuring they are
recognised as a valid and vital part of global knowledge. - Decolonizing the Mind: To foster a healthy sense of pride and critical
reverence for the unbroken knowledge traditions of Bharat (India) for the
welfare of the world. - Holistic Growth: To create a learning community where individuals
grow through the harmonious integration of spirit, heart, mind, and body.
Mission
The mission outlines the actionable steps the club takes to achieve its vision:
- Awareness & Education: To create awareness of ancestral knowledge in
diverse fields like Mathematics, Astronomy, Medicine (Ayurveda), and
Arts through seminars and workshops. - Interdisciplinary Research: To promote research that applies traditional
Indian wisdom to solve modern-day challenges, such as climate change
and mental health. - Preservation: To document, digitise, and protect the rich cultural and
natural heritage of the region and the nation. - Integration: To collaborate with academic departments to incorporate
IKS modules into the modern curriculum, bridging the gap between “ancient” and “modern.” - Value-Based Learning: To instill ethical values and social responsibility
in students by drawing from Indian philosophical traditions.
