Mission
- Dr. B.R. Ambedkar mission was to achieve social justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity for all Indians, especially the oppressed Dalits, by fighting caste discrimination, advocating for fundamental rights, and creating an inclusive democratic republic through education, agitation, and organization, as enshrined in the Indian Constitution he helped draft, which abolished untouchability and promoted affirmative action. He worked as an economist, jurist, and policymaker, establishing institutions and movements to empower the downtrodden and build a just society.

The audience was enlightened about the initiatives taken by Dr. BR Ambedkar, his contributions in woman empowerment, and his contribution towards the society beyond his constitutional works. The activity was beneficial in creating awareness about leadership responsibilities and organizational values among students. The office bearers were motivated to uphold discipline, work collaboratively, and contribute towards the overall development of the institution.

Constitution Day Walkathon at Vidhana Soudha
- The Constitution Day celebration on November 26 this year did include events at Vidhana Soudha, such as a walkathon and floral tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue. There were also other celebrations across Bengaluru, including at the High Court of Karnataka and various educational institutions.
- Resource Person –Siddaramaiah, is an Indian politician who is serving as the chief minister of Karnataka and also serving as leader of the house in legislative assembly.

A Seminar on "Importance of indian Constitution"
The audience was enlightened about the initiatives taken by Dr. BR Ambedkar, his contributions in making the constitution for a better India. The articles, sections, clauses made and designed in the constitution was highlighted giving the students deep insight that it is “the supreme law and a living document that has to be changed towards developement and provide justice for all.

Traffic Awareness Rally
The rally successfully spread awareness among the public regarding traffic rules and safety measures. Many people showed interest and understood the importance of following
road safety guidelines. It helped in encouraging responsible behavior among commuters and contributed to creating a safer and more disciplined traffic environment.

- The event helped students gain deeper knowledge about Dr.Ambedkar’s role in shaping an equal and just society. It created awareness about social responsibilities, unity, and the importance of contributing positively to the country. Students felt motivated to follow the values of equality, justice, and service in their daily lives.

131st Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Jayanthi was celebrated on 19th April, 2022 on the college campus. The chief guest for the day was Mr. YSR. Murthy, Vice Chancellor of RV University, and the event was presided over by Dr. S. Anil Kumar, Principal of SSMRV College. Mr. Murthy spoke about human rights, drawing from his experience as a member of the Human Rights Committee. All NSS volunteers actively participated in the event and contributed to its success.

As per the directives laid down by the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka, we’ve established an Electoral Literacy Club that encourages students to vote in elections and learn about the current democratic system and processes. The club distributes voter enrolment forms and regularly organises intercollegiate events such as essay writing, quizzes and skits to keep the discourse around governance alive.
