The BCA Forum Inauguration was held on 20th September 2025 at our college. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Ankit Sharma, Cloud Security Champion & AI Security Leader, CISCO Bengaluru and Mr. Ashok Veda, Founder & CEO, Datamites,Rubixe Bengaluru. The dignitaries enlightened the students with their insights on cloud security, artificial intelligence, and industry trends.

The Department of BCA organized an IT Project Exhibition on 14-11-2024, showcasing innovative projects developed by the final-year and second-year students. The event aimed to encourage practical learning, creativity, and technical skills among students.The exhibition was graced by the distinguished Chief Guest, Group Captain Anand Naidu, Director, ISAC, and Mr. Syed Sameer, Registrar, R.V. Educational Institutions. Both guests inaugurated the event and addressed the gathering, appreciating the students’ enthusiasm and the relevance of their projects to current technological needs.Around 31 teams presented their projects in domains such as software development, cybersecurity, AI, and IoT networking The guests interacted with the participants, reviewed their work, and provided valuable feedback and suggestions for improvement. First three Prize distributions was also done for the best projects with cash prize.External participants from Various schools and college of around 700+ visited to view the project developed

The Department of Computer Applications of SSMRV College successfully organized the intercollegiate technical fest “TECH VEDA 2026” a three day intercollegiate Fest with the objective of promoting technical knowledge, innovation, creativity, and teamwork among students. The three-day fest included events such as Gaming, Pitch Deck, Hackathon, Cinemathon, AR/VR, Robotics, and Auto Expo conducted at the auditorium, BCA labs, quadrangle, and college ground. The programme began with inauguration ceremonies, lamp lighting, welcome addresses, and guest interactions. On Day 1, the Pitch Deck event featured guest speakers Mr. Shrenik Parmer, Founder & CEO of DegreeLabs Ltd., and Mr. Akarsh, AI Tech Engineer, GOOGLE.And also Gaming events were conducted in the BCA labs. On Day 2, the Cinemathon event included a panel discussion on “Code Behind the Movies: AI and AVGI in Film Production.” by Mr. Shiva Chiranthana, Chief Associate in Kantara 1 & 2, Ms. Shiji Sunil, CEO, Producer Virtual Productions DNEG, and Mr. B. S. Srinivas, Chairman of VedAtma College of Design, Technology & Management, along with the Hackathon supported by the VisionAstraa team. On Day 3, the AR/VR and Robotics exhibition featured Mr. Nikhil Jain from VisionAstraa as the chief guest, followed by the Auto Expo in collobration with WSB Forum and drone showcase at the college ground. The fest concluded with a valedictory function, prize distribution, guest addresses, and vote of thanks. A gaming event namely “CALL BY DUTY ” was successfully organized on 24-03-2026, attracting enthusiastic participation from students. A total of 29 students took part in the event, showcasing their gaming skills, teamwork, and competitive spirit. The event created an exciting and engaging environment for all participants.he competition was intense, with players demonstrating excellent coordination and strategy. EIMR College, Basvangudi secured the first prize with an outstanding performance, while SSMRV College achieved the second prize. Both teams performed remarkably well throughout the event.

An offline corporate visit where 23 second-year B.Com ACCA students visited Firstsource Solution Limited to experience a real corporate environment, understand business operations, and interact with industry professionals on HR policies, recruitment, and training practices
