Report on National seminar on Emotional Health and Spirituality

Ethics and self-governance cell of SSMRV in alliance with ISKCON Bangalore organized an enlightening National virtual seminar on the 1st of August 2020. Taking into consideration the discrepancy of emotional health amidst the millennials the programme was organised.

The congregate was honored to have ISKCON’sΒ  president, Madhu Pandit Dasa as the guest speaker for the day. Sir Madhu Pandit Dasa was bestowed upon with Padha Shri on the 67th Republic Day (2016). He holds the chair of the Akshaya Patra Foundation and is governing body commission of the Hare Krishna Movement. He is the alumni of IIT Bombay with 40 years of proficiency in teaching the Bhagavad-Gita.

Madhu Pandit Dasa an engaging session beautifully recited the ties between the body, mind intelligence, and the soul. He illustrated the hierarchy of dominance. Sir Dasa, emphasized on the soul being an alpha followed by intelligence, mind, and body. He further elucidated pleasure and pain for the intellectual body and duality of existence. He broke down the meaning of ATMA for the crowd, introduced and explained ‘SAT’ desire, ‘CIT’ desire, and ‘ANANDA’ desire. Sir claimed that the destiny of success or failure demands all the desires, namely, Security, power, knowledge, intelligence, love, and pleasure of the soul. The speaker thus concluded that knowing thy own to the spiritual realm to material senses, mind, and intelligence, one should firm his mind by deliberate spiritual intelligence. Therefore, by achieving the spiritual strength one is thoroughly armed to conquer the insatiable enemy known as lust.

In the becoming ferocious world, during the current pandemic, in particular, Sir Madhu Pandit Dasa aided the attendees on both spiritual and emotional dimensions. He offered the congregation the methods to stay sane. The session was of utmost need in the present hour. He illuminated the participants with his tactics to overrule the evil and balance out emotional health in one’s daily life.
