Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Ethics and Self Governance Cell of SSMRV college in association with ISKCON Bangalore presented a very practical and insightful student enrichment Webinar on βArt of Mind Management and Emotional Balanceβ on 24th June of 2021 at 1: 30 pm. The resource person for this event was Sri Rama Sevaka Dasa who is currently working as Presenter & Youth Guide in FOLK, Youth Empowerment Club of ISKCON Bengaluru. Our beloved principal Dr S Anil Kumar officially inaugurated the workshop. Ethics and Self Governance Cell Convener Dr Shalini N coordinated the event by liaising between the ISKCON team and the institution. HODβs of all departments and faculty members were present. More than 200 students of Second Year B. Com, BBA, BCA and M. Com attended the session.
The organising team consists of Srinidhi, Afreen Khanum, Shilpashree, Vibha S and Tejashree P N of second year B.Com. Principal of SSMRV college addressed the gathering and appreciated the work of Ethics and Self Governance Cell. He, like always supported and motivated the crowd. The speaker Shri Rama Sevaka Dasa enlightened the necessity to control the mind and explained its advantages of peak performance, productivity in academics, peaceful mind and improving emotional intelligence to be a game changer. He quoted Robin Sharma and explained us to adapt to the current scenario by coming out of state of worry, anxiety, stress, and dilemma and to focus on goals by mind stability. He conducted an activity to hear the mind speaking. He elucidated the number of thoughts an average individual gets in a day and suggested Mantra technique to attain stability. He demonstrated the mind mechanism and suggested PA- Simulation technique to reduce anxiety, depression and cure insomnia. He explained positive impacts of mind control by referring to the life style of successful entrepreneurs. Β it was an intriguing session, which was an eye opener to all the participants about the mind management.
The enthusiastic participants reaped the benefits of thought provoking session and actively engaged in the question and answers. This enlightening session ended with a formal vote of thanks by Vibha of Second year B.Com.
